FUNDAMENTAL OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT

Topic: Designing an E-Commerce Platform with Enterprise Integration

Task:

Assume you are hired to advise a start-up launching an online retail store. Prepare a detailed plan that covers:

1. The chosen e-commerce model (B2C, B2B, C2C, etc.).
2. Required e-commerce and m-commerce applications (e.g., payment gateways, mobile apps).
3. Technology infrastructure (web servers, databases, security protocols).
4. How Transaction Processing Systems and Enterprise Systems (ERP, SCM, CRM) will support the business.
5. Identify five major e-commerce risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Basic Assignment Instructions

All students must adhere to the following general requirements when preparing any individual assignment for this course:

1. Cover Page

Every assignment must include a properly formatted cover page containing:

• University name
• College and department
• Course title and course code
• Assignment title
• Student’s full name
• ID number
• Academic year and semester
• Date of submission (Use December 05, 2025 G.C)

2. Table of Contents

Include a clear and organized Table of Contents with:

• Section titles
• Subsections (if any)
• Corresponding page numbers
• Automatic formatting is preferred (Word “Insert Table of Contents”)

3. Page Numbering

• All pages must be numbered.
• Start numbering after the cover page (i.e., cover page has no number).
• Use standard numbering format (1, 2, 3…).
• Page numbers should appear at the bottom center or bottom right of each page.

4. Formatting Requirements

• Font: Times New Roman or Arial
• Font Size: 12 pt
• Line Spacing: 1.5
• Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
• Alignment: Justified
• Use headings and subheadings for clarity
• Figures and tables must have labels/captions

5. References

• Provide proper references for all materials used.
• Use any standard citation style (APA, MLA, Chicago), but apply one style consistently.
• Include in-text citations and a complete reference list at the end.
• A minimum of 3 credible sources is expected (books, journals, reputable websites, etc.).

6. Originality and Academic Integrity

• Assignments must be the student’s own work.
• Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and will result in academic penalties.
• Properly cite all external ideas, quotations, and materials.

7. File Format and Submission

• Submit assignments in PDF or Word format unless otherwise instructed.
• Ensure the file name includes your name and the assignment title.
