INSTRUCTIONS:
PART 1: FINANCIAL REPORTS
Form a group of SEVEN (7) maximum or FIVE (5) minimum students to perform analysis of financial statements. Each group is required to select two publicly Listed Companies from the SAME INDUSTRY related to Tourism, Hospitality and Wellness. You are expected to download TWO (2) most recent annual reports (2022 and 2023) from Bursa Malaysia’s website.

*For Sector: You can choose which industry you want to analyze
Examples: Consumer Products & Services, Health Care, Property (Hotel), Telecommunication
& Logistics (Exclude Banking or Financial industries)
The following information should be included in the report:
1. Introduction (1 page)
(Include: About the report; why do you choose the companies and how the companies are related to hospitality, tourism, and wellness industry; why financial ratios and forecasting are important for companies.)
2. Background of the companies (1 page for each company)
3. Ratio analysis
3.1 Trend Analysis (same company but different year) calculation and graph
3.2 Comparative Analysis (different company but same year) answer and graph
Please perform 2-year analysis on those ratios and provide your
professional interpretation on the ratios calculated. The analysis will be based on 4 categories of financial ratios only: Liquidity, activity, debt and profitability ratios
4. Overall analysis
Summarize your findings in 3.1 and 3.2 and suggest which company performs better. Then provide ways in which both companies can perform better financially in the future.
5. Conclusion
Conclude your report.
6. References & Appendices
Follow APA format for references
Appendices, just provide the page of Income statements and Balance sheets only of the two companies

i. Type all answers using Microsoft Word
ii. Font type: Times New Roman
iii. Font size 12 (For tables, use font size 10)
iv. Single spacing
v. Show formula and calculations for Trend Analysis and figures only for Comparative Analysis. Calculated answers without formula will degrade the marks
7. Due date
i. Ratio Analysis: Part Trend Analysis & Comparative Analysis – Week 8 (Saturday, 7 Dis 2024 in the e-comm)

1. Presentation medium: Online video
2. Each member in the group should present in 1 or 2 minutes each.
3. Time: 10 – 15 minutes only.
4. Evaluation: Based on ability to present well and communicate effectively

PART 3: INDIVIDUAL REFLECTION (5 marks)
1. Each individual member in the group will write the tasks he/she perform in this group assignment
2. In Reflection, state briefly what have you have learned and experienced while completing the tasks
3. Each member should provide his/her signature as a confirmation of the tasks he/she perform
