Community Service Course: Green Sustainability Project Proposal (15%)
| Course | Community Service |
| Weighting | 15% – group of 10 |
| Page limit | 20 pages (cover, references and appendices excluded) |
| Style | APA, at least five credible references |
This Malaysian community service brief asks a group of ten to propose a small green sustainability project for their campus or community. You review two existing initiatives, prove a real problem (for example single-use plastics or food waste) with your own preliminary data, and plan an awareness activity with a timeline, team roles and impact measures.
Proposal (15%)
CLO1: Rewrite a proposal of a community service project which has social impact (C2, PLO11).
In groups of 10, students are required to prepare a Green Sustainability Project Proposal focusing on an environmental or sustainability issue relevant to the campus or community.
- Begin with a brief explanation of green sustainability, including its meaning, importance and relevance to the community.
- Research and discuss two existing green sustainability initiatives that you find interesting, explaining what each initiative does and what can be learned from it.
- Identify one green sustainability problem to address. The problem statement must be supported by a small-scale preliminary investigation (observation, a short survey, interviews, photographs or other relevant data) that shows why the problem requires attention, rather than relying only on assumptions.
- Propose a small-scale awareness activity to address the issue, e.g. a social media campaign, infographic, short video, exhibition, awareness booth, poster campaign or educational activity.
- Explain the project objectives, target audience, proposed activity, implementation plan, timeline, team responsibilities, expected outcomes and method for measuring the impact of the activity.
The written proposal must be no more than 20 pages, excluding the cover page, references and appendices. Use a minimum of five credible references, with in-text citations and references in APA format.

The weakest proposals choose a broad issue such as “pollution” and back it with no data. Pick a specific, visible problem, run a quick survey or observation, and let the findings shape the activity, its target audience and how you will measure change. Put your survey form and photos in the appendices. Our do my assignment help can guide your group plan, and our APA citation and referencing check can review your references.
