CLO2: Demonstrate project management workflow that can be applied to effectively execute organizational plans. (Practical skill)

You have been assigned by the General Manager to lead a project aimed at increasing factory production capacity from 100K/Month to 200K/Month. The project is to be completed within 6 months, with a budget of RM3 Million. As the Project Manager, you will need to form an imaginary team consisting of the following roles:

• Manufacturing Supervisor
• Material Analyst
• Production Planner
• Equipment Maintenance Manager
• Procurement Officer
• Industrial Engineer
• Human Resource Officer
• Training Officer
• Finance Officer

Report Requirements:

The project report should be created in MS Word format using Arial font size 12 and single spacing. The report must be between 7 to 10 pages, excluding the cover page.

Key Components of the Report:

1. Company and Project Background, Overview, and Objectives (10% marks)
   • Provide a clear background of the company and the project.
   • State the objectives of increasing production capacity and the steps needed to achieve the goal.
2. Roles of Each Team Member (5% marks)
   • Describe the roles and responsibilities of each team member in the project.
3. Action Plans and Project Schedule (25% marks)
   • Conduct a meeting to discuss action plans with each team member to enable the factory to increase production capacity.
   • Capture 1 to 3 action plans from each team member.
   • Develop a project schedule in table format, including the following:
     • Project goal.
     • Action plans.
     • Task completion timelines (start and end date).
     • Person in charge of each task.
4. Gantt Chart Format (10% marks)
   • Illustrate the project schedule using a Gantt Chart format, clearly showing the timeline for each action plan.
5. Project Costing Plan (20% marks)
   • Develop a detailed costing plan, breaking down the RM3 Million budget and specifying the allocation for each area of the project.
6. Potential Risks and Mitigation Plan (20% marks)
   • Discuss 5 potential risks that could affect the success of the project and provide a mitigation plan for each risk.
7. Project Summary and Conclusion (5% marks)
   • Summarize the project and conclude with key points about the project’s success and its future impact.
8. Creative and Attractive Cover Page (5% marks)
   • Design a creative and professional cover page for the report.
