Review Article Analysis: Understanding Research Types, Hypotheses, Methodology,Variables, and Analysis Types
Objective:
The objective of this assignment is to enhance student’s understanding of research methodologies by analyzing review articles and identifying research types, possible hypotheses, methodology, and variable used.
Tasks
1. Article Selection:
- Find a peer-reviewed article related to your field of study from a reputable
academic source (for example journal databases, scholarly websites etc.) - Please choose a review article that aligns with your research interests or future academic pursuits.
- The article should provide a comprehensive review of existing literature on a specific topic, offer insights or critiques based on the synthesized information.
- The link of the article should be included in your assignment (cover page).
2. Research Type Identification:
- Identify research objectives and research type of the review article (for
example qualitative, quantitative or mixed methods, empirical or conceptual paper).
3. Hypotheses:
- Identify any research questions or hypotheses that the authors may have
formulated based on the reviewed article. - Discuss how these hypotheses or research questions contribute to the overall objectives of the reviewed article.
4. Methodology Analysis:
- Analyze the methodology used by the authors to conduct the review.
- Describe the steps taken by the authors to search, select, and synthesize the
literature. Evaluate the strengths and limitations of the methodology in
achieving the objectives of the review.
5. Variables used:
- Identify the key variables (independent variables and dependent variables)
discusses in the review article.
6. Submission Guidelines:
- The assignment should be submitted in word format and written in a clear and organized manner by using the assignment cover provided, page number in every page of assignment.
7. Assessment Criteria:
- Accuracy of the research type identification and justification.
- Depth analysis in identifying possible research objectives, research questions,
hypotheses, evaluating the methodology, and discussing variables and analysis types.
