Research Project Proposal
In this proposal, you should explain why you have chosen this topic, referring to issues such as importance and timeliness, as well as reasons why you personally are particularly interested. You should outline the primary research you propose to undertake. Then, you should explain the proposed structure of the research project and briefly describe what will be in each part.
You may want to back up your arguments and discussions at various points with references, academic or otherwise. It will probably help to convince the marker that you have a serious interest in the topic and have already spent a substantial amount of time preparing for the research project proposal.
Your subject lecturer may be prepared to discuss this proposal in broad terms with you in advance, but it is not appropriate for the lecturer to read or comment on the outline’s content before it is handed in, so please do not ask. It is important that you are responsible for producing your proposal outline. Your subject lecturer may give constructive written feedback on your outline. It is your responsibility to arrange such an appointment. The proposal should be clear, coherent and sensible.
When writing the full project in the next semester (in Business Research Execution, PRJ3195/PRJ3184), students may make changes to the structure detailed in the proposal or even change the research topic, but only with the agreement of the assigned project supervisor.
Please note that you must undertake either a quantitative OR qualitative research approach.
