In around 4,000 words (+/-10%) you are asked to identify, assess and critically evaluate leadership approaches from an organisation you have experience of.

You should specifically compare and contrast the leadership approaches you have identified against some of the key academic theory pertaining to leadership.

In doing this, you are asked to critically analyse both the ‘real life’ approach and the leadership theories and consider their appropriateness for the criminal justice or policing context.

Where possible you should make suggestions about how the leadership approaches you have identified could be improved to support the constraints and context of criminal justice and policing.
