Human resource management has a responsibility to ensure that the organization follows Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 requirements and that supervisors and managers understand that it is their duty to ensure that the workplace is free from hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm.
Companies and the human resource department should and must do more to make employees feel safe at work by allocating a sufficient amount of investment in security and preparation so that the employees will feel safer and appreciate the organization for valuing their safety. This is part of the Malaysian Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Master Plan 2021-2025.
