Task 1
In conjunction with World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2021, PETRONAS will be organizing a national-level public engagement event that aims to engage communities in activities that will increase employees’ safety awareness and Mr Syaqiff is one of the working committees for this project.
The COVID-19 crisis is putting pressure on employers and employees as a result of having to implement new procedures and practices in a very short time or having to suspend their work and business activities. As part of the physical distancing measures taken in most job sectors, employees are encouraged or obliged to work from home if the nature of their job allows it. For many of these employees, it may be their first time working from home and their working environment is likely to be deficient in many aspects compared to their workplace. Insufficient mitigation measures of hazards when working from home can result in reduced productivity.
PETRONAS will be inviting a speaker NIOSH to give a talk on how to minimize the risks to employees who have not been able to prepare their home workplace properly
Task 2
In conjunction with World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2021, PETRONAS will be organising a national-level public engagement event that aims to engage communities in activities that will increase employees’ safety awareness and Mr Syaqiff is one of the working committees for this project. As a result of the increased spread of COVID-19, PETRONAS has decided to postpone the event.
